Samantha Critical Care Paramedic

Sam is a Critical Care Paramedic and Base Supervisor. She qualified as a paramedic in 2005 and has worked for EAAA since 2018, working at both Cambridge and Norwich bases.

Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) Samantha has worked with EAAA for six years now, having also worked with the East of England Ambulance Service as a Registered Paramedic for the last 19 years. Samantha says:

“That time has gone by in a flash. I love being a paramedic. It’s always felt a huge privilege as a paramedic to be there for patients when they need us most. Whether that’s in green or orange.”

Samantha has always enjoyed learning new skills and developing her own practice while supporting those around her. She says “Working with our fantastic colleagues at EAAA allows me to continue to develop clinical skills and provide exceptional care. I have a particular interest in resuscitation and, while an Advanced Life Support Instructor, I enjoy teaching basic life support to anyone who will listen!”

“The team at EAAA includes our wonderful Fundraisers, Aftercare team, Operations team and all our other very talented staff who make it possible for us to respond to those who need us. Made possible of course because people run, walk, donate and give their time to support EAAA. One of my favourite and most fulfilling parts of the role is when I am able to meet patients or their families.”

When Samantha is not at work, she can normally be found out walking her dog or camping with her family. She also enjoys being involved with voluntary work abroad.
