Victor has been a Consultant in Emergency Medicine since 2000 and spent a period as a Registrar in HEMS at the Royal London Hospital in 1995. Prior to becoming Medical Director at EAAA, Victor was Educational Lead.
Victor steered the charity through the transition to providing a 24/7 helicopter emergency medical service, enabling the medical teams to be there for even more patients.
Victor says: “This is the most fulfilling professional activity I’ve been involved with in a medical career that has spanned just short of thirty years. The ability to help individuals in the worst moments of their lives is so rewarding. Meeting some of EAAA’s former patients and their families at base visits is a humbling way to see the impact of critical care when delivered at the scene of a medical emergency.”
“Everybody at EAAA is thankful for the help of our kind supporters, without whom we would be unable to deliver enhanced treatment and care at the scene of some of the region’s most serious incidents.”
In Victor’s spare time, he plays the Alto Saxophone (“badly!”) and enjoys attending live jazz festivals to relax.
