Captain Robin Pilot

Robin is a Line Training Captain with EAAA’s aviation partner, Babcock. He has been a professional pilot for 22 years, starting his career as a Flying Instructor and then progressing to flying in support of Oil and Gas, Search and Rescue, Offshore Windfarms and HEMS.

Captain Robin previously worked as touring HEMS pilot, supporting many of the UK Air Ambulances before settling in Norwich and becoming a dedicated pilot for EAAA. He usually flies Anglia One (Norwich) HEMS missions out of Helimed House, EAAA’s Norwich headquarters, transporting EAAA clinicians by air to some of the region’s most seriously ill and injured people.

Robin says the best thing about his role is using his passion and vocation to help others and being part of a life-saving team – which includes supporters of EAAA. He constantly strives to provide the highest quality of HEMS flying training he can and says being part of a team that really can change peoples lives is is strongest motivation.

Robin adds: “The network of people who enable our aircraft and crews to be available 24/7 365 days a year and support EAAA’s work are incredible – we can’t thank them enough.”

When he isn’t flying the EAAA H145 helicopter on HEMS missions, Robin says he loves spending time with his family, skiing, walking and motocross with his eldest son.
