This does not have to be related to East Anglian Air Ambulance directly, but can capture any image, sign or feeling which to you signifies giving hope. Whether someone has inspired you recently, something has affected you positively or you’ve seen something that has made you smile, we would love to see your ideas and entries.

These can be captured on a phone or a professional camera, with judges simply looking for creativity.

Bonus points will be awarded to those who subtly link the photo back to EAAA. For example, using the colour yellow to signify our helicopters and cars!

The winning photograph will be featured at the charity’s new Norwich base as part of its first open day and photo exhibition on 6 November 2021. The new base, funded by years of gifts in Wills from our generous supporters, has enabled the charity to expand its operation to a 24/7 service by air and road. The photo exhibition will showcase 24 hours on shift and follow our operation throughout the day and night, as we are tasked to patients who need us most.

Criteria: Giving Hope

Objective: Raise awareness of the charity and the hope it brings 24/7 to patients and their loved ones

This competition is open to all abilities, with two age groups categories: 5-17 years and 18+ years. If you are under 18, you must obtain written consent from your parent and/or guardian to take part in the competition and provide evidence of written consent on request by EAAA.

Please note: If you choose to submit a photo of EAAA, the crews or helicopters, please ensure you are respecting patient confidentiality in all instances and have permission from all involved in the photograph. Any images that feature under 18s will also require written consent from their parent/guardian.

To help you develop some ideas, below are some examples to build on:

• A smile/laughter

Submission:

Post your photo on your Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter account tagging East Anglian Air Ambulance, using the hashtag #GivingHope. Include a short summary about why the photo signifies giving hope to you. You can submit as many photos as you would like, as long they are in the timeframe provided
